I found this post by following a series of links from PBW. It’s useful to hear your thoughts. Every once in a while I post to ask what people would like me to write about, and usually I don’t get many suggestions beyond “more of the same.” Beyond the number of comments it’s hard to know what strikes a chord.

For me personally it’s not so much the name of the weblog as the title of the post that draws me in.

Also I confess to telling the occasional personal story — but I only do it when I can make it into an Erma Bombeck type thing or if something life-changing is going on that will interrupt blogging or writing.

I think it must be hard to try to filter out all the junk on the internet–a million blogs on WordPress alone and God knows how many others in toto. I try to make my blog interesting, provocative…and as a result have suffered some slings and arrows from thin-skinned people who have had their funny bone surgically removed. It’s a very fine line and everyone has a different tolerance level. I plug my blog and my work and as a result have been called a “blog pimp”. That bugged me so much I came up with a posting on the subject…and got flamed even WORSE. What to do, what to do…
