Get Your Blog Posts And Twitter RSSed To MySpace

I hate MySpace.  Really, truly hate it.  I despise all the blinky, flashy junk, the music that starts playing as soon as you visit someone’s page.  But as a writer trying to expand my internet footprint, I feel like I should at least HAVE a MySpace page, even if I don’t do much with it.  I already talked a little about this when I discussed the Web 2.0 revolution.  One of the things I liked back when I did the self-hosted blog thing was that there was a plug in I could use with WordPress that would automatically feed my blog posts to MySpace.  I miss that.  MySpace doesn’t do RSS.

Well, Widgetbox has created something called a Blidget that you CAN use to RSS anything to MySpace.  It’s not quite as convenient as having it fed directly into the MySpace blog, but it DOES allow you to create a widget looking thing that provides clickable links to your blog posts.  That’s the content I will have that’s going to be updated.

Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

Here’s mine (it won’t show up correctly on the free version of WordPress).

Widgetbox, you are my hero.

And also, if you are a Tweet and want to get your Twitter stream into MySpace, Twitter offers a widget to do that too.  Instructions on that can be found here.

Very well thought out and informative. I’m sure many others enjoy reading this too, but are just a little scared to post – anyway – thanks again!
