I think it’s an age thing…don’t want the hero and heroine to get TOO old before they come together again.

I did one a few years ago…got lost in a move but I WON’T go into that!…and it was 18 years. Heroine got preggers (she was 20 or 21 at the time), Hero dumped her, she gave up the baby but baby brought them back together when his records were unsealed. DH keeps telling me to re-write it but I don’t know…wouldn’t be the same.
