Productive Exhaustion

I sat down.  I really probably shouldn’t have done that because I’m almost positive there’s no way I’m getting up again.  Not for a while anyway.  I am exhausted.  I woke up at 8:30 this morning, determined to take advantage of the quiet and make up for not writing for the last 2 days.  I managed 127 words in two hours before hubby got up.  :headdesk:  After that I gave up and went to mow the lawn.  Once I knocked that out, I furminated the dogs, which left the lawn looking like I’d been shearing sheep.  And then I vacuumed, steam mopped the floors, and dust mopped the floors.  I am sad that push mowing is on Spark People’s list of cardio activities but vacuuming and mopping are not.  They should be.  I baked up a fresh loaf of whole wheat bread, did three loads of laundry (the last of which is still in the dryer), picked up the house (company coming for dinner).  Then I cleaned up, went to JC Penney’s to pick up some new t-shirts, Lowe’s for a new spray nozzle for the hose (ours blew up this morning), light bulbs, and plants.  But then they didn’t have potato vine, so I went to the co-op to get some there.  Then I actually made it to the grocery for a lengthy shopping trip.  Then to Sonic for Happy Hour because all that shopping worked up quite a thirst.  Then to the liquor store for beer and finally home, where I unloaded all my purchases, made up two planters for the front steps, and finally sat down.

I’ve been complaining the last two days that I have the attention span of a gnat and that my brain has been bouncing all over the place.  Right now it’s too tired to bounce anywhere.  At this point, the best I can hope is that I am so exhausted, I will sleep like the dead tonight, and wake up refreshed and ready to write tomorrow.  Please?
