Wahoo! This is my first full day of writing since…sometime earlier this week. Monday maybe? Last Sunday? Before Harry Potter anyway. Whenever I have several days off I get concerned that I’ll lose my feel for my characters and the story, but though it took me several hours to write these words tonight (about three and a half), it wasn’t too bad. Most of the difficulty is in making sure I don’t repeat myself or contradict anything in this very complicated scene where the investigation gets the first big break. I’ve left off just before the killer calls. That’s tomorrow’s project. So I’m pleased with where I’ve gotten. Time for SLEEP.

Good work. I like this part, it’s important, but writing it has to be so nit-picky I’ll be really happy when you get to the next part and can just have fun and write again.
