Slow Saturday

I really need to kick my butt into gear.  I need 1350 words today and tomorrow respectively in order to make up for my supreme brainy suckitude this week (as in the fact that it refused to work) and still make my 3500 word goal.  Hubs is at work for twelve hour shifts each day, which sucks for him, but leaves the house nice and empty for me.  I’ve been glorying in the quiet, which I’ve been missing this week.  Outside thunder keeps grumbling, but so far we haven’t had any rain.  I’ve got another 6 roma tomatoes from my garden, making 14 this week.  I haven’t made up my mind what to do with them.

I was up just before 9 and spent 2 hours doing webby stuff and having tea before working out, starting laundry, and getting myself cleaned up.  Five and a half hours later and I’m nursing a second cup of tea and talking myself out of a nap.  I’ve joined in the chat and challenge over at Romance Divas for some much needed butt kicking.  If I can get some serious words in, maybe I’ll have a nap.

And we’re not going to talk about the lecture I need to research and write this weekend because that’s just utterly depressing and would guaranteed send me into a nap.

  1. Oh, girl, I am right there with you. FINALLY got some writing done today after two weeks of beating my head against the wall. It really sucks when your brain just doesn’t want to work. Boo, brain, boo.

Hopefully, you’ll have a Super Sunday, if Saturday doesn’t kick into gear!

  2. I feel your pain. I can’t seem to make myself write at all at home lately. I do better writing during my lunch hour at work. I don’t know what’s going on with my brain. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you occasionally don’t meet your goals. It can lead to burn out.

Roma tomatoes make excellent salsa. 😉
