It’s been a roller coaster weekend. Yesterday was spent watching friends make a lifetime commitment to each other, eating good food, taking lots of pictures.
Last night and this morning was ICU and saying goodbye to my husband’s 92 year old grandmother. The funeral is Thursday.
There was a certain symmetry to the joy and grief and one day when I’m not so tired, maybe I’ll write something about it. Today I’ve been in my kitchen most of the day. I’m southern. When there’s a death, we cook.
I’m scrambling to finish up assorted obligations, so I may be kind of scarce this week. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for our family.

My prayers are with you Kait. I’ll bake something virtually, like a Noah’s pudding (Turkish custom) and pass it on to you…
Sorry for your family’s loss. May her journey be peaceful.
My heart and prayers go out to you guys and his family.
My prayers are with you and your family.
I’ll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. And I wish the best for your friends starting a new journey on their lives together.
It’s the way of things, isn’t it? You’re in my thoughts, Kait.
I am sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers. *hugs*
