#ROW80 Round 1 Final Check-in

I had bold goals for Round 1 of ROW80.  I wanted to write 750 words a day and knock out the bulk of my YA, Red.  Well, we all know that didn’t happen.  So what was the final tally?

Right at 25k, which includes Blindsight, part of Red, and a wee bit of Riven.

Less than I wanted by a lot.  But I still averaged 312 words a day, which is essentially a page a day.  That doesn’t suck.

I have higher hopes for Round 2, though there’s a strong possibility I’ll be packing and moving during that round…big changes afoot at Casa Nolan!  More on that later.

I’m in the car on the way to Texas to see friends for the next several days, where I intend to enjoy good company, good food, and good relaxation.  And THE ZOO!  Whee!

See y’all on the flip side!

  1. Hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your time in Texas….As to the word counts, even if it is small you are still getting words down on the page. Some is better than nothing…

  2. I think that’s about the word count I ended up with. Maybe a little less (my files are at home and I’m at work). I think we may both get much more accomplished in the second round. After all, don’t we feel much better in Spring? Especially since we’re going to be in better shape. :0)

Have a great time in Texas!

  3. In a busy life, a page a day is awesome! Thanks for introducing me to this challenge. I’ve learned a lot, met many wonderful writers and am looking forward to round 2. Have fun in Tx!
