Coming Soon: Efficiency 101

I am an efficient woman.  I have to be, something I mention a lot when I talk about everything on my plate, from two jobs, family, writing, exercise, cooking, friends, etc.  Life is nuts.  And really, in our modern society, it’s nuts for everybody.  I’m often asked “How do you DO IT?” by other people (writers and non-writers alike) and I’m just usually like “Uhhhhhh…I just do?”  It’s that intuitive thing again where I skip all the steps to get to the end result.  Not a good trait in a teacher.

But I’ve often been asked to talk about my secrets, so I decided to sit down and actually, you know, pay attention to what it is that I do that enables me to improve my efficiency, not only so I can tell y’all about it, but also so that I can re-establish my own good habits that have fallen by the wayside over time (Yo, I’m not perfect either, y’all).

Some of these are straight “Do this, it will help and here’s why” kinds of things that apply to your every day life no matter what you do for a living.

Some will be more philosophical in bent, particularly as I continue my quest to re-establish some Zen in my life.

And some will be more specifically about being more efficient in writing.

As with all things, your mileage may vary.   Feel free to try, take, or leave anything I talk about.  It’s all about figuring out what works for you in your life.

So be on the lookout for my new weekly series Efficiency 101.
