Excitement! Endings! Jeopardy!

There is so much excitement going on today I can barely contain myself.

I am ONE SCENE FROM THE END of Be Careful, It’s My Heart.

Wait, didn’t you just do that like…5 weeks ago with Riven?

Yes, yes I did.  I was working on both projects concurrently.  And I had about 7k from when I started this one last Christmas.  But either way, I have been kicking ass and taking names on this thing.  I love this story SO SO MUCH.  It is like, the mack daddy of comfort reads  (writes?) for me.  Like a big old casserole dish of homemade mac and cheese–the kind with like 5 awesome kinds of cheese.  It’s been SO MUCH FUN to see the town itself come alive and have the rest of the series work itself out in my brain.  It’s a total departure from anything I’ve ever done before, and I can’t wait to see how people like it.

There will, of course, be at least one revision pass.  That is the nature of things.  But still.

THE END IS NIGH.

Or, you know, Nye, as Claire Legrand told me she saw on a sign at NY  Comic Con.

Also the source of my excitement today, in honor of Riven’s release, today’s theme on #ForewordJeopardy is SHADOWS.  To play, just hop on Twitter at NOON CST and follow @ForewordLit and the hashtag #ForewordJeopardy.  You can WIN a copy of the omnibus that kicks off my Mirus series, Genesis.  And if you don’t happen to win, it’s ON SALE for $2.99 for the rest of October!
