Well I’m feeling better. Thank God for steroid shots. I’m able to breathe for the first time in 6 or 8 weeks. Which means I’m sleeping through the night without waking up every half hour to blow my nose. HURRAY!
Today is my last day at the office until the start of January (and I’m cracking up that my boss is under the delusion that ANYTHING will get accomplished today), which you would think means vacation, but this is me we’re talking about. I’m taking the next 2 weeks to write the ebook formatting class I’ve been promising for the last 2 years. And I’m working my way through the second Meet Cute Romance, Once Upon A New Year’s Eve. And plotting stuff on other projects and…
What? You’re SURPRISED I don’t know the meaning of the word VACATION? Don’t you know me at all?
I’m also looking forward to having time for some good long walks, provided weather cooperates. The office Christmas party was yesterday, and I feel like I’m still stuffed up to my eyeballs with rich holiday food. WANT. TO. DETOX. So I’m guzzling water and working on flushing my system.
Off to try to find people who have already left for the holidays!

UGH. I hate feeling icky when there’s so much productivity to be had. Me, I have to average 2.5K words/day to finish my book by the end of the year. Take time off? Who? Me? Why would I want to do that when I’m So. Dang. Close!

After a long and early cold snap we are now in the midst of a pre-Christmas snowfall. Snow, glorious snow! I love it. My dog, Mason, loves it and we are heading north to Algonquin Park today to meet up with family and friends for Christmas. Cameras, guitars ’round the fireplace, drinks, food and, best of all, no internet.
