Three Awesome Things

You all know I ADORE The Piano Guys.  Or maybe you don’t, so…yeah I do.  They’re awesome.  Innovative and creative, doing these fantastic mashups.  They’ve just released one of Let It Go from Frozen mashedup with Vivaldi’s Winter.  AWESOME.

This was an absolutely fantastic article about why Neville Longbottom is the most important character in Harry Potter.  After reading this, I totally want to go back and reread the entire series.

And MOAR from 2CELLOS.  They just keep getting better!

  1. That is awesome. Especially this bit: “Rowling largely operates Harry’s generation in a clear system of parallels to the previous generation, Marauders and all. … Neville Longbottom is Peter Pettigrew. … Or, at least, he could have been. … Neville is the tide-turner, the shiny hinge. And all because he happens to be in the same position as Wormtail… but makes all the hard choices that Pettigrew refused the first time around. Other characters are in similar positions, but none of them go so far as Neville. None of them prove that the shaping of destiny is all on the individual the way he does.”
Brilliant! I just reread the books last month, and thinking of Neville standing up to them at the portrait hole, and then going after Nagini, and his parents at St Mungo’s… Oh Neville!

  2. J’dore both those duet teams. And is there anything more awesome than a white cello? (Except, perhaps a purple violin?) You totally need to check out Lindsey Stirling–she’s FUH-MAZING.
