(Late) Sunday Summary and #ROW80 Progress Report

This is gonna be a quick and dirty #ROW80 Progress Report because I completely didn’t get around to posting yesterday.  I’ve been a terrible blogger lately because I’ve just been so flipping BUSY.

  1. Hubby and I have officially been married 12 years.  Come August we’ll have been together for 16.  Craziness.
  2. Work has been mentally draining lately, so I haven’t had the kind of progress I really want on the book, but it’s still going decently well.  I clocked a little over 6100 words this past week on the WIP, plus some plotting on three other future projects.  I’m over the hump of the midpoint, so I’ll just keep steady trucking toward The End.
  3. I did a little tweaking of my production schedule, looking at all the stuff I want to write.  I’ve got Wishful novels scheduled out through 2018.  And those are just the characters I HAVE to write.  Doesn’t even cover all the other possibilities!  At present I have 10 novels and 7 novellas planned.  And then there are the 30 or so other projects on the sheet that don’t have a date yet.  Seriously, people think we could ever run out of ideas?
  4. Because I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t done a lot in the way of reading, so last week, I did some much needed well filling.  I knocked out two Kate Perry novels (Here With You and Loved By You–by far my favorite of the Laurel Heights series) and the first in Nancy Warren’s Take a Chance series, Kiss A Girl In The Rain (free as of the time of writing this). I really love that title.  Nothing deep, just good, straight up contemporary romance.
  5. Last week’s recipe, in case you missed it, was Dairy Free Loaded Grits.

  1. Congrats on 12 years of marriage!

My job has been mentally draining, too. The good news for me is that it’s seasonal, and I have about a month before it slows down. Is yours very seasonal? It does it just come and go as far as the super busy?

You know, one of my biggest fears as a writer has always been that I would out of ideas. But, so far, that hasn’t happened. What a tragedy that would be for a writer. It’s good to know you have so many already in your head and many of them planned.

  2. COngrats on celebrating 12 years married! We will celebrate 13 this July – hard to believe. Wow – you certainly have a lot of writing planned and on the go! All the best.

  3. Last night, my Accomplice stared deeply into my eyes and said, with a smile , “We’ve been married quite a while now.” I’m glad that after nearly 18 years, he still likes the idea. I do, too. We were married just over six months after we met, and a lot of people told us that was too fast, and it wouldn’t work…

    But we KNEW. =)

Hooray for your 12 years, and the steady progress even with the job pressures.

As for running out of ideas – I think I’ve got enough for about 3 lifetimes, at the moment, so I’m not worried. Of course, I tend to only write down the current tip of the iceberg. Maybe someday I’ll be brave enough to have a production schedule all neatly laid out…but probably not, since my mind seems to thrive on flitting between things.
