Well, after Saturday’s meh I wound up writing 1653 on Sunday, 2221 on Monday, and 864 on Tuesday, thus effectively catching up on the days I missed writing last week. So that’s a yay. Even though there is technically one more day to Round 2, I’m gonna go ahead and make my wrap up post here.
Round 2 began on April 4th. Since then, I have churned out 53584 words, which works out to 678 words a day. That’s a wee bit below the 750 words a day I set as my goal at the start of the challenge, but a fair bit above the 500 a day I dropped back to, so overall, nothing to sneeze at. As this round is drawing to a close, I am just over 70% finished with Red. I plan to knock it out early in Round 3 before moving on to Riven and plotting out Revelation. But those are goals for another post.
On the Operation G.I.T. front, well I didn’t manage to stay away from the scale for a week. I braved up and got on Monday. And I was half a pound lighter than I was when I left on my work trip. Um…Yay? Of course I completely eradicated that loss with Mexican for dinner last night, which has left me feeling overstuffed, queasy, and in serious need of a detox. The chips. The chips are my kryptonite. I did yoga this morning and thought I might hurl (maybe it was crane pose). Of course the fact that I was awake way too late last night didn’t help matters.
We got a text from our realtor last night that there was some serious interest in our house and to cross spare appendages for a good offer. So I spent a lot of time staring at the ceiling over that. I am conservatively hopeful/pessimistic. I’m expecting something far below the floor of what I’m willing to take. We looked around online last night and didn’t see much we would be interested in buying if our house did sell right now (as we are pretty sure there is a contract on the house we had agreed on), so I’m just kind of meh on the whole thing. Everything is either too small or too expensive. We don’t have to sell. So if they won’t come up to what we want, we won’t. We’ll just wait until someone will pay what we want and continue to pay other things off and down and wait for other things to come on the market. Will keep y’all posted.
