Final #ROW80 Round 4 Check-In

Daughter of the Hunt is FINISHED.

Well, at least until the Pink Hammer, Claire, and the Magnificent Laurie McLean finish shredding it.

377 production days.  194 actual writing days.  32k down the toilet in process.  111,311 words in the finished draft.  I expect it’ll be a bit longer once I revise and clarify some things.

I still lack about 10k for my WIP500 goal for the year, so yesterday afternoon I read through Act 1 of Riven, and I’m ready to dive back into it today.  I’d like to knock out Act 2 by the time I go back to work on the 7th.  Also, incidentally, the beginning of Round 1 for 2013.

:considers the fact that I might be a workaholic:

:doesn’t care:

I’ve got a ginormous pile of books I want to read, a crit to do, another book to plot, a fun set of steampunk themed tarot cards to play with, a half season of Once Upon A Time to catch up on, and several projects I’d like to knock out over the holiday.  So I’ll definitely do some non writing stuff.  And bed.  Lots of quality zzzzzs that don’t involve an alarm clock.  Sleep, glorious sleep.

  1. It sounds like you have the perfect winter break planned. I’m doing the same. Writing, reading, watching series I love, and getting some sleep. Lots of sleep. Enjoy your holiday, Kait!

  2. Congrats! I can’t wait to read it! I will probably hop into the next Round of 80 – I need people to kick me in the arse to get going and yanno, I miss you guys. 😉
