So I’m writing, I’m writing, my hero and heroine finally come together and…I’m on page 138.  Oops.  I know, I know.  But I can’t help it!  I’m always in a hurry to get them together.  It’s a problem I had in the first version of this story too.  Not enough long term relationship conflict.  So Pot made some useful suggestions about where I could break things up and insert several scenes.  Gotta kill somebody else off.  I wrote out the outline of what all needs to happen, and now that I’ve written the part where they’re mostly together, I think I can happily write the rest without being too impatient.  This new stretch will probably add around 50 pages or so and will really add to the case as well.  When in doubt, kill someone off…cardinal rule of suspense and mystery.  Anyway, thanks Pot, for your suggestions.  I will pick up with them tomorrow.
