Daily Progress Report

Daily Goal: Met

So this is the first day I’ve written since Friday.  I churned out 550 crappy words on Friday at 6:30 in the morning as we crossed from Memphis into Arkansas and on into Missouri for our road trip.  Since I didn’t end up using them, I didn’t bother recording the progress.  It was a longer period off than I would have wanted, but I needed a couple of days to recover from our return road trip.  I’ve been working on additional scenes of one of my bad guys and trying out the whole spring forward, fall back technique I talked about the other day.  So far it seems to be working fairly well.  I also took the existing scenes from this guy’s perspective and pasted them all in one file so that I could look at things as if I were telling only his story.  I think it helped to separate it out from the rest of the book.  Once I got today’s corrections and new material written, I put it back into the draft.  I have eight scenes to write/rewrite in order to get back to where I left off before making these changes.  My goal is to get there by the end of the weekend so that when I begin my new job on Monday, I can resume forward momentum with the manuscript.  Hubby is back to work tomorrow and is working all weekend, so I think I stand a good shot at it if I hit the ground running tomorrow.  Tonight, though, I’m headed to see Harry Potter!  Weeeeee!!!!!
