I don’t know about you, but I really really SUCK at cooking bacon. It takes forever and inevitably I turn away for JUST TWO MINUTES and turn back to find it totally charred. My mom always did it in the microwave, but I never liked it as well that way. Then I discovered that you can bake it in the oven. With a timer. I can lay out multiple strips and cook a whole batch at once (more than will fit in a pan on the stove) and I don’t have to tend or flip it? Yeah baby!
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Layer cooling racks over a baking tray.
- Lay the bacon on the racks.
- Bake 15-20 minutes (depending on thickness–I use thick cut bacon).
- Blot on paper towels.
