- I feel like I’m on the backside of running around like a chicken with my head cut off. It was a hella busy week at the evil day job with Wave 1 of our current project, which meant orientations at two sites in two different towns, overnight travel and a whole lot of not routine stuff. Got home on Friday night, had social engagements half the weekend, ended up having to go to the grocery twice because I forgot half the things I needed on the first trip and generally…have had a very non-creative sort of week. And then there was a crapton of stuff to catch up on at home. I did get to take a nap in my hammock yesterday, so that was awesome.
- I did manage a little over 3500 words for the week, plus some plotting on a couple of other projects. I’m right at the black moment and there’s been a bit of foot dragging on my part. I really really hate this part because I have to blow stuff up before I can put it back together, and I was enjoying the fluffy, happy finally together part. But it must be done. Hoping to get through the rest of this act by the end of the week.
- Since I was on the road a lot, I nabbed an audiobook from the library. Giving another listen to la Nora’s Savor The Moment. I love the girlfriends she writes. Good girlfriends are to be cherished.
- In case you missed it, this week’s recipe was Spicy Pulled Pork and White Bean Soup.

Some weeks are just like that…I like to think that they provide fodder for later bouts of creativity…of course, I could also be deluding myself! =)
I totally empathize with the foot-dragging. For me, it’s endings. I have a tendency not to want to say goodbye…so I dawdle as long as I can excuse, and then a litttttttlllllllleeeeee llllloooooonnnnngggggeeeerrrrrr….
With a week like yours, any writing or plotting at all sounds like a solid win!
So you’re talking about how much you didn’t get done. And then you said you wrote over 3500 words. 😛
You’re such an over achiever. LOL. Good luck with the black moment. That’s really hard sometimes.
