My writing time today got severely cut into by a crisis with the dishwasher (i.e. it seems to have died and the disassembly took a lot of effort and time AFTER bailing out the stinky water–GROSS). Anyway, I got through the second phone call with the killer, and I’m pretty pleased with it. And I got started on Collin racing to find her, but this is where I needed to expand the scene and draw it out longer, and I haven’t figured out the best way to do that. I’m thinking it’s going to have to involve Kensie getting injured (like a sprain or something) because otherwise she’d be out of the woods and back to the parking lot by the time he gets there and that defeats the purpose of drawing it out. Anyway I’m sleepy. Tomorrow I’ll finish out this scene, the aftermath, and probably start laying the groundwork for the next body to be discovered. Hubby’s on 7a-7p, so I’ve got time.
