Daily Goal: Met

My manuscript is starting to resemble the digital version of some of my reference books (which bristle with sticky tabs and post its and have notes, underlining, and highlighting on every other page). So in preparation for all the scenes I am inserting into this timeline, I began cutting and pasting and moving some of the case stuff around. And of course then I had to add in notes in red for what needed to be changed/added/updated where. All the passages that no longer work but might could be used somewhere later when I update have been highlighted in blue. And I’ve worked the outline for the new section into the text so I know what scenes go where. So now it all looks very piecemeal. I think it will come together fine, and I’m pretty clear on the plan. I’m not sure how long it will take to incorporate all these changes and additions. A couple of weeks maybe. I would love to have them done before we leave for Colorado so that I can move forward–although I promised my hubby that I would minimize computer time on our vacation, as the point is to spend time together. Eeep! Hardly any writing for a whole week? Maybe I’ll get up early and write while he’s still sleeping. Ideally, I will manage to get a 7k surplus of words before we leave so that I won’t be behind on the Sweat when I get back, but I don’t know if that will happen or not. We shall see.

Anyway, I made it through the new, first phone call of the killer.  I had hoped to get to the interpretation tonight, and I do have time but, I’m hitting the hay early to make up for last night.
